Davidson Technology are working with a State Government Department to secure an experienced Senior Applications Developer to bring passion and expertise in Microsoft Dataverse, backend integration, and developing efficient, data-focused solutions.



About the Role
As the Senior Application Developer, you will join a dedicated team to deliver an innovative website that helps Queenslanders navigate complex training systems and make informed choices about their future. Bringing expertise in Microsoft Dataverse, backend integration, and data-focused solutions, you’ll be responsible for collaborating with stakeholders to design and develop efficient applications, resolving technical and scheduling challenges with a customer-service focus, and proactively managing support requests for incidents and enhancements. You will also be involved executing end-to-end software development processes, maintaining clear documentation including design standards and procedures, and contributing to ongoing system improvements and other duties as directed to ensure the delivery of high-quality business outcomes.



About You
To be successful in this role, you’ll be a skilled and motivated Senior Applications Developer with strong expertise in Microsoft Dataverse and backend integration, with a passion for delivering efficient, data-driven solutions. You will bring proven capabilities in data modelling, Dataverse API/OData usage, and integration with Power Platform tools, alongside proficiency in managing security and permissions. With advanced backend and integration skills, including building RESTful APIs, scripting with JavaScript, and connecting content management systems to Dataverse, you will play a key role in ensuring seamless system performance. Experience in data cleaning, normalisation, caching, and optimisation for dynamic web content, combined with strong SQL and relational database knowledge, will be essential in developing scalable, high-performing applications that support both business needs and user experience.



The Benefits
You will be offered a 6-month contract on an excellent hourly rate and the ability to negotiate a flexible working arrangement for the duration of the assignment as well as the potential for further extensions.
