About the Role
This is a senior, trusted specialist role sitting at the intersection of business, technology, and architecture, providing subject‑matter expertise across SAP IS‑U while guiding solution design, best practice, and application standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the senior SAP IS‑U application specialist across core utilities platforms.
- Provide expert functional guidance across IS‑U modules including Billing, Device Management, Customer Service, and related utilities processes.
- Lead and assure solution design activities, including options analysis, PoCs, and alignment to enterprise standards.
- Own application lifecycle activities including enhancements, upgrades, incident resolution and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with architects, vendors, delivery partners and internal teams to ensure high‑quality, scalable solutions.
- Support utilities‑specific requirements such as market interactions and regulatory processes.
- Provide mentoring and knowledge leadership within the application and delivery teams.
- Contribute to governance forums, design reviews, and technical decision‑making.
About You
- Strong experience as a Senior SAP IS‑U Application Specialist / Consultant within utilities.
- Deep functional knowledge of SAP IS‑U (Billing, DM, CS; FI‑CA advantageous).
- Experience working within Australian energy / utilities environments.
- Demonstrated ability to provide solution design and application assurance, not just delivery.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to translate business needs into practical solutions.
- Experience working within large, complex enterprise or transformation environments.
- SAP S/4HANA Utilities exposure highly regarded.
