About the Company

Davidson Technology are working with a large State Government Department Agency to secure a Senior Applications and Integration Developer to provide quality applications integration support and development services to the Department’s business application platforms.


About the Role

As a Senior Applications and Integration Developer you’ll be responsible for the expert analysis and resolution of complex application issues, ensuring timely support in line with service level agreements. This role provides end-to-end systems development, operational support, and administration for departmental applications and integration components, including the design and implementation of solutions that align with business requirements, departmental standards, and industry best practices. You’ll be required to work across a variety of stakeholders, working collaboratively with internal clients, federated groups, and external partners to troubleshoot issues, deliver enhancements, and manage change. In addition, the role plays a key part in driving continuous improvement by maintaining current knowledge of application and integration technologies, developing governance documentation such as standards and knowledge base articles, and integrating client feedback to refine platform performance and usability.


About You

To be successful in this role, you’ll be a technically adept and stakeholder-focused professional with a strong ability to engage collaboratively across business units, federated teams, and external partners to deliver robust, scalable, and secure solutions. With recent hands-on experience in application and integration development using Microsoft technologies—including Azure, API Management (APIM), C#, REST APIs, SQL, and web services—you’ll demonstrate proficiency in building modern, cloud-native systems. Your expertise will extend to DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and test-driven development, enabling the delivery of high-quality, maintainable software. You’ll be instrumental in bridging technical implementation with business outcomes, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and continuous service improvement.


The Benefits

You will be offered a 6-month contract (possible extension) on an excellent hourly rate and the ability to negotiate a flexible working arrangement for the duration of the assignment.
