The Opportunity
Are you looking to move into a role where your work directly supports growth, capital investment and strategic decision-making. On offer is the rare combination of scale, ownership and genuine commercial exposure. In a national, multi-site business with ongoing investment in infrastructure and growth, finance plays a visible and influential role. This isn’t a narrow reporting position, it provides hands-on involvement in capital governance, asset management and group-level reporting within a complex, multi-entity structure. For an accountant looking to move beyond compliance and develop broader commercial capability, it’s an environment that sharpens technical skills, builds operational understanding and creates a clear pathway toward future finance leadership roles.
Davidson are partnering with a nationally recognised, multi-site consumer organisation operating across Australia. With an established brand presence and continued investment in new locations and infrastructure, the business is entering its next phase of disciplined growth and finance plays a pivotal role in enabling that expansion.
The Role
This position sits within Group Finance and offers genuine ownership. You’ll be responsible for key balance sheet areas within a capital-intensive environment, supporting financial integrity across a complex, multi-entity structure. In a business where investment in physical sites, infrastructure and systems materially impacts performance, strong financial governance is critical.
You’ll manage fixed assets across a national network, support IFRS-compliant statutory reporting and play an active role in audit preparation. Month-end accuracy, balance sheet control and capital project oversight will form a core part of your remit. You’ll also engage with operational stakeholders, giving you exposure beyond pure reporting and into the commercial drivers of the organisation.
This is an environment that offers exposure to capital expenditure governance, multi-entity reporting, systems integration and continuous process improvement, experience that builds strong long-term commercial capability.
About you
We’re open to candidates from audit, business services or commercial accounting backgrounds. You’ll ideally be CA or CPA qualified (or nearing completion) with solid technical grounding and the confidence to work with stakeholders across the business. Direct industry experience isn’t essential, capability, attention to detail and commercial curiosity are.
In return, you’ll join a national organisation with scale, experienced finance leadership and clear progression pathways. This is a role that offers visibility, responsibility and the opportunity to accelerate your career in a stable, growth-oriented business.
