About the Role
We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Developer to join a dynamic support team on a long-term engagement. You will be responsible for development and support of business application systems, with a focus on technical design, programming, integration and performance optimisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and support SAP business applications using ABAP, OO ABAP and Enhancement Frameworks
- Analyse, design, code and test solutions with a strong focus on data processing and performance tuning
- Maintain and support interfaces including EDI/IDOC and ABAP Proxy
- Work on RICEFW objects primarily across Reports, Interfaces and Webdynpro components
- Provide expert-level knowledge of SAP modules including SRM, FI and HR from an integration perspective
- Support workflow approval agent determination and SAP Org structure integrations
- Utilise tools such as SQL Trace, Buffer Trace, SQL Monitor and Runtime Analysis
- Follow ITIL and SAP methodologies including Solution Manager (CHaRM)
- Deliver solutions aligned to business goals in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Collaborate closely with Functional Consultants, End Users (Finance and HR), System Admins, and Project Managers
What We’re Looking For
- 8+ years of SAP ABAP development experience
- Strong documentation, stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Detail-oriented, proactive and pragmatic mindset
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Government experience is highly regarded but not mandatory
