Position: Salesforce Architect
Contract: 12 Months
Davidson is supporting a major utilities organisation to recruit an experienced Salesforce Architect who will support them with the strategic uplift of its Salesforce platform and broader technology environment. This role will contribute to the ongoing evolution of a critical enterprise CRM ecosystem, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned to long-term business objectives. Working across complex projects, the focus will be on strengthening platform capability, improving integration with related systems, and enabling better customer and business outcomes. Including:
- Support the strategic development of the Salesforce platform within a complex utilities environment
- Drive scalable, secure, and sustainable architecture outcomes
- Improve integration across Salesforce and dependent enterprise systems
- Contribute to both current project delivery and long-term platform roadmap planning
- Align technology solutions with broader business and customer objectives
- Represent Davidson in supporting a high-impact enterprise transformation initiative
The Role Description
We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Architect to provide architecture leadership across a complex Salesforce landscape. The role will be responsible for designing fit-for-purpose solutions, guiding technical decision-making, and ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards. You will work closely with stakeholders across business and technology teams, acting as a trusted advisor on platform strategy, architecture governance, integration design, and solution delivery.
- Define solution architecture, technical direction, and Salesforce design principles
- Lead architecture decisions across platform, integration, and enterprise solution design
- Engage stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into practical solutions
- Provide technical leadership to developers, architects, and delivery teams
- Support governance, risk management, and architecture best practice across the platform
- Contribute to roadmap development, innovation opportunities, and continuous platform improvement
Requirements
The ideal candidate will bring strong Salesforce architecture experience within complex enterprise environments, along with the ability to balance strategic thinking and hands-on technical knowledge. You will have a strong understanding of Salesforce products, integration's, and architecture governance, supported by excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills. Experience working across large-scale technology initiatives, ideally within utilities or similarly complex industries, will be highly regarded.
- Proven experience as a Salesforce Architect, Solution Architect, or Senior Solution Architect
- Strong knowledge of Salesforce platform capabilities including Lightning, Apex, and core cloud products
- Experience delivering enterprise integration solutions across APIs, middleware, and service-based architecture
- Demonstrated ability to develop architecture roadmaps, standards, and governance practices
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and technical leadership capability
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Visio, and architecture documentation platforms
