About the Role
As Research Manager, you’ll lead the delivery of mixed-method research projects from end to end - from proposal development and client liaison through to focus group moderation, data analysis, and reporting.
You’ll typically facilitate 2–3 focus groups a week (mostly via Zoom), with flexibility around working hours (including some evenings). When not in the field, your time will be spent on insight generation, reporting, strategic input and contributing to broader team efforts - from business development to media engagement and client relationship building.
About You
You are a researcher with experience across qualitative and quantitative methods, and the confidence to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment.
You’ll bring:
- Proven experience facilitating or moderating focus groups (or similar stakeholder engagement)
- Strong analytical thinking and the ability to translate data into compelling, actionable insights
- Excellent communication skills - verbal, written, and visual (PowerPoint)
- A strong interest in current affairs, politics or social change (particularly across Australia, NZ and the UK)
- The ability to self-manage, contribute strategically, and work well with a dispersed team
