About the Company

Join a leading organisation within Australia’s Big 4 banking landscape, known for its strong focus on innovation, risk management, and regulatory excellence. You’ll be part of a high-performing technology function supporting critical enterprise initiatives, working in a collaborative environment that values delivery discipline and continuous improvement.

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Release Train Engineer (RTE) to take ownership of release and environment management across a complex technology landscape.

This role is focused on establishing and embedding a consistent, scalable release management cadence, while also driving governance and coordination of non-production environments to support reliable and repeatable delivery.

You’ll play a key role in shaping the operating model, standing up best-practice release processes, and ensuring alignment across multiple Agile teams. A core part of the role will also involve integrating your function with existing RTEs and delivery leads to create a cohesive, enterprise-wide approach.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Establishing and running a structured release management cadence across multiple teams
  • Coordinating non-production environments to ensure readiness, stability, and clear governance
  • Driving visibility of release schedules, dependencies, and delivery progress
  • Embedding an effective operating model for ongoing release and environment management
  • Facilitating cross-team coordination including Scrum of Scrums and release ceremonies
  • Aligning capacity and priorities across squads to support smooth delivery outcomes

About You

You’re a seasoned RTE or senior Agile delivery professional who thrives in complex, enterprise environments and enjoys bringing structure to ambiguity.

You’ll bring:

  • Proven experience as a Release Train Engineer, Delivery Lead, or similar role within scaled Agile environments
  • Strong background in release management, including establishing cadences and coordinating across multiple teams
  • Solid understanding of non-production environment strategy and governance
  • Experience working within SAFe or similar Agile-at-scale frameworks
  • Ability to design and implement operating models and ways of working
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with confidence engaging senior technology and business leaders
  • Experience within financial services or other highly regulated environments (highly regarded)
