Melbourne | Permanent Full-Time | Hybrid
Our client, a major organisation within the utilities sector, is seeking an experienced Release and Environment Coordinator to manage environment provisioning and release activities across a complex technology delivery landscape.
This role will ensure development, testing and production environments are available, stable and aligned with project and operational requirements, while coordinating releases to support timely, controlled and high-quality deployments.
This isn't purely a scheduling or coordination role. We're looking for someone with strong experience across environment and release management who can work across technology teams, projects and business stakeholders to improve governance, reduce delivery risk and support modern DevOps practices.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
· Define and maintain environment strategies across development, test, staging and production environments.
· Coordinate environment provisioning, refreshes, configuration and availability across technology initiatives.
· Own and manage the release calendar across multiple projects and programs.
· Plan and coordinate releases, including approvals, risk assessments, change windows and rollback strategies.
· Partner with DevOps, infrastructure, cloud and application teams to improve release processes and drive automation.
· Champion continuous improvement across environment and release management while ensuring appropriate security and governance controls.
Skills and experience – To be successful in this role, you will bring:
· Strong experience in environment management across complex on-premise, cloud and hybrid technology environments.
· Demonstrated release management experience across planning, coordination, governance and deployment activities.
· Understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, automation and ITIL change and release processes.
· Strong stakeholder management, communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Nice to haves:
· Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow and release orchestration platforms.
· Experience within utilities, infrastructure or another complex, regulated environment.
