About the Role

We are seeking expressions of interest for an experienced Regulatory Manager to provide strategic regulatory leadership and advice across a large-scale, nationally significant infrastructure network. Reporting to the General Manager, Networks Regulation & Connections, you will play a key role in shaping regulatory outcomes that support the organisation’s commercial strategy—driving sustainable investment, fair returns, and efficient service delivery. You will lead engagement with regulatory bodies, manage compliance with relevant laws and frameworks, and contribute to the development of policy positions that influence the regulatory landscape.

This position offers flexibility in location and is available across multiple office sites, including Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne.

About You

You bring a proven ability to influence regulatory outcomes and contribute to strategic positioning, backed by strong experience engaging with complex regulatory frameworks such as the National Electricity Rules, National Gas Rules, and relevant state legislation. With excellent written and verbal communication skills, you are adept at preparing detailed regulatory submissions and documentation. Your background includes working with or alongside key regulatory bodies such as the AER, ACCC, or AEMC, and you have a strong grasp of incentive-based regulation and economic modelling principles. Your approach is analytical and commercially focused, supported by strong stakeholder management, negotiation skills, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead the preparation of regulatory submissions, including revenue proposals and compliance reports.
· Provide strategic regulatory advice on pricing, cost recovery, and investment decisions.
· Monitor and interpret changes in the regulatory landscape, including developments from the AER, AEMC, and Essential Services Commission.
· Engage with regulators, industry bodies, and government agencies to advocate for favourable regulatory outcomes.
· Support economic and financial modelling to underpin regulatory proposals and policy development.
· Ensure regulatory obligations are embedded in business planning across the organisation.
· Represent the business in regulatory working groups, industry forums, and public consultations.
