About the Role
We are seeking an experienced property professional to join the team as a Regional Property Advisor on a 5-month contract, with the possibility of extension. This role offers flexibility and can be based out of Bundaberg, Townsville, Mareeba, or Rockhampton.
In this role, you'll manage a broad range of regional property matters including third-party access, encroachments, land use applications, acquisitions and disposals, and residential tenancy oversight. You’ll work closely with legal, operational, and government stakeholders to ensure compliance and support the organisation’s operational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee regional property matters such as land access agreements, encroachments, leasing, and transactions
- Provide advice to senior leaders on commercial and operational property risks
- Assess land use applications, conduct inspections, and liaise with internal/external stakeholders
- Manage residential housing portfolios including inspections, maintenance, and agency liaison
- Prepare instructions for legal matters and support broader property service delivery
- Monitor compliance with licences, access agreements, and tenure conditions
About You
- Tertiary qualifications in property, law, or a related field (or extensive relevant experience)
- 5+ years of experience in property management within a corporate, utilities, or government setting
- Strong understanding of land tenure, leasing, acquisitions/disposals, and stakeholder engagement
- Skilled in managing competing priorities across diverse regional portfolios
- C class driver’s licence and ability to travel regionally as required
