Recruitment Specialist | High-Volume Blue-Collar Recruitment
Acacia Ridge, Brisbane | $100,000–$110,000 + Super | Hybrid Working
Love the pace of blue-collar recruitment? Join a supportive national recruitment team where you'll have ownership, flexibility and the opportunity to make a genuine difference.
Davidson is delighted to be partnering with a well-established national transport and logistics organisation to recruit an experienced Recruitment Specialist to join its internal recruitment team.
Employing approximately 2,500 people across Australia, this is a busy, operationally focused business where recruitment plays a critical role in ensuring the right people are in place to keep things moving.
Over the past few years, the organisation has invested significantly in strengthening its People and Recruitment functions, introducing new systems, improving processes and building greater capability across the business.
And there's still plenty more to do!
This is an opportunity to join a collaborative, down-to-earth team that genuinely enjoys working together, celebrates its successes and supports one another when things get busy.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Group Recruitment Manager, you'll take ownership of a recruitment portfolio supporting operational teams across a national network.
This is a genuinely hands-on, high-volume recruitment role where no two days are quite the same. You'll be recruiting predominantly blue-collar positions, including drivers, forklift operators, warehouse employees and other operational roles.
Depending on business demand, you could be managing anywhere from 20 to 50 vacancies at a time, often across multiple locations.
You'll be responsible for the complete recruitment process, from partnering with hiring managers and developing attraction strategies through to screening, coordinating interviews, managing pre-employment requirements and progressing successful candidates through to commencement.
Importantly, this isn't a role where you'll simply post an advertisement and wait for applications.
We're looking for someone who enjoys finding candidates, understands their market and can think creatively about how to attract talent in competitive environments.
You'll also have the opportunity to contribute ideas as the business continues to enhance its recruitment processes and systems.
About You
You're an experienced recruiter who genuinely enjoys the pace, variety and challenges of blue-collar recruitment.
You may already be working internally, or perhaps you're an agency recruiter specialising in industrial, transport, logistics, manufacturing or similar operational recruitment and are ready for your next chapter.
What matters most is that you understand what high-volume recruitment really looks like and have the confidence to manage your own portfolio.
You'll bring:
- Demonstrated experience managing high-volume, end-to-end blue-collar recruitment.
- The ability to juggle multiple vacancies, shifting priorities and demanding operational timeframes.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and confidence working with frontline and operational leaders.
- A proactive approach to sourcing candidates and developing effective attraction strategies.
- Excellent communication skills and a genuine commitment to delivering a positive candidate experience.
- The resilience, initiative and adaptability to thrive in a business that continues to evolve.
- A collaborative approach and willingness to get involved in all aspects of recruitment, including the administration that comes with it.
Experience with Workday would be advantageous, but certainly isn't essential. Exposure to recruitment marketing, social media campaigns or Canva would also be welcomed.
Above all, we're looking for someone who enjoys being part of a team, takes ownership of their work and sees opportunities where others might see challenges.
Why Consider This Opportunity?
There's plenty to enjoy about this role.
A genuinely supportive team:
You'll join an experienced, collaborative recruitment team led by a manager who values open communication, autonomy and sharing ideas. The team works across multiple locations but stays closely connected, celebrates its wins and looks out for one another.
Flexibility that works:
Hybrid working arrangements are available, with a minimum of two days per week in the Acacia Ridge office once established, together with flexibility around start and finish times.
A role with real ownership:
You'll have responsibility for your portfolio, the opportunity to build strong relationships across the business and the trust to manage your work.
Opportunity to contribute to change:
With continued investment in its People function, there's an opportunity to contribute ideas and improvements as the recruitment function evolves.
Career development and benefits:
The organisation offers a range of employee benefits, including 100% reimbursement for approved, relevant study, along with free on-site parking.
A business where recruitment matters:
You'll be supporting a large national operation where the work you do has a direct impact on the business and its people.
