Reconciliations Officer

Accounting

About the Company

Join a well-established commercial organisation with operations across Australia. Known for running a tight ship, this business values people who are accurate, dependable, and happy to roll up their sleeves and get the job done properly.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Reconciliations Officer to join the finance team on a temporary basis, with the potential for the role to become permanent. This position will suit someone who thrives in a high-volume environment and genuinely enjoys digging into reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.

While the role sits within the Accounts Payable team, this is not your typical AP processing position. The focus is heavily weighted toward reconciliations, data matching, and investigating variances, so strong reconciliation experience is far more important than direct payables exposure.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Reconciling large, high-volume supplier and transactional accounts
  • Reviewing statements and identifying discrepancies and variances
  • Conducting V-Lookups and data analysis in Excel
  • Uploading payment files into the ERP system and banking platform
  • Reviewing account information against agreements and supporting documentation
  • Maintaining accuracy and compliance across financial records and processes

The Benefits

  • $38.00 – $40.00 per hour + super
  • Full-time hours (38 hours per week)
  • Flexible start time between 7:30am and 9:00am
  • On-site parking provided (own transport essential)
  • Opportunity for permanency ($70,000 – $75,000 + super)
  • Join a stable, respected commercial business with a strong team culture

About You

You’re someone who genuinely enjoys reconciliations, spotting inconsistencies, and working through high volumes of data without losing attention to detail. You might come from Accounts Payable, banking, finance administration, or another transactional finance environment — what matters most is your ability to manage complex reconciliations accurately and efficiently.

You’ll also bring:

  • Strong reconciliation experience in a high-volume environment
  • Intermediate Excel skills, including V-Lookups
  • Confidence working with ERP systems and financial data
  • A reliable, hands-on approach and strong attention to detail
  • The ability to work full-time on-site as part of a collaborative team

This is a great opportunity for someone who likes structure, routine, and the satisfaction of making the numbers balance properly.
