Project Reporting Analyst (Contract)
6 month contract with possible extension.
Melbourne CBD / Hybrid
We are seeking an experienced Project Reporting Analyst to support a large service transformation program within a Victorian public sector organisation.
This role focuses on program and project governance reporting, providing clear and accurate insights to senior leaders to support decision-making and oversight. You will work closely with program leadership, project managers and delivery teams to consolidate reporting, track performance, and highlight risks and dependencies.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver regular program and project governance reports for senior executives
- Consolidate inputs from multiple workstreams into clear, decision-ready summaries
- Track delivery status, risks, issues, dependencies, milestones and resourcing
- Develop and maintain reporting templates, dashboards and performance metrics
- Support program governance forums through preparation of packs and action tracking
- Maintain central repositories for program documentation and decisions
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting quality, consistency and efficiency
Key requirements
- Strong experience in program or portfolio reporting within complex environments
- Proven ability to communicate delivery status clearly to executive audiences
- Experience working across multiple projects and stakeholders
- Solid understanding of project delivery methods including Agile and Waterfall
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Experience using tools such as Jira, MS Project, Power BI and Confluence
- Public sector or regulated environment experience highly regarded
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys turning complex delivery information into clear, meaningful reporting.
