About the Role

As Project Officer, you’ll play a vital coordination and support role across high-profile event projects. Working within a small team of industry leaders, you’ll bring precision, energy, and organisation to a high-performing environment.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Providing high-level administrative and project coordination support
  • Managing program documentation, reporting, correspondence, and logistics
  • Supporting the delivery of whole-of-Government commitments for major international events
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of internal governance and process frameworks
  • Maintaining clear, respectful, and timely communication with stakeholders across agencies

This role is pivotal to the seamless delivery of complex, high-value event initiatives including legacy planning, stakeholder engagement, and policy alignment.

About You

You are a proactive and highly organised professional who thrives in dynamic, deadline-driven settings. Your background reflects:

  • Strong administrative and coordination capabilities in a government or event-related environment
  • Experience handling confidential correspondence, stakeholder meetings, and reporting
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities with a high level of attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the tact and diplomacy to liaise across government and external partners
  • Experience in project or program environments, ideally with exposure to major events, sport, or public sector work

Tertiary qualifications in business, project management, or a related field are valued but not essential. Your capacity to deliver under pressure and your commitment to excellence are what set you apart.
