Davidson is partnering with a well-regarded organisation within the superannuation sector to appoint an experienced Project Manager / Lead Business Analyst
on a 12-month fixed term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to join a business delivering important change across investment operations, finance and technology, with a strong focus on fund accounting and unit pricing environments.
About the Role
The Project Manager / Lead Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in leading and shaping complex initiatives across fund accounting, unit pricing and broader investment operations. Sitting at the intersection of business, finance and technology, this role will be responsible for driving delivery outcomes while also leading business analysis activities to ensure requirements are clearly defined, agreed and translated into effective solutions.
This role will suit someone who can move comfortably between strategic stakeholder engagement, detailed business analysis and end-to-end project delivery.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading end-to-end delivery of initiatives across fund accounting, unit pricing and investment operations
- Partnering with business, finance and technology stakeholders to identify needs, define requirements and deliver fit-for-purpose solutions
- Leading business analysis activities including requirement gathering, process mapping, impact assessments and documentation
- Managing project plans, governance, risks, issues, dependencies and reporting across multiple workstreams
- Translating business requirements into clear delivery plans and actionable outcomes in collaboration with technical teams
- Driving workshops and stakeholder discussions to build alignment, clarify priorities and support decision-making
- Supporting system and process improvements across investment and funds management operations
- Coordinating internal teams and external vendors to ensure successful delivery and implementation outcomes
- Acting as the key link between business stakeholders and delivery teams to ensure solutions align with operational and strategic objectives
About You
The ideal candidate will bring a blend of project management and lead business analysis capability, with a strong track record of delivering complex change within superannuation, investment operations or broader financial services environments.
You will bring:
- Proven experience in a Project Manager, Lead Business Analyst or hybrid delivery role within financial services
- Strong experience working across fund accounting and unit pricing environments
- Deep understanding of superannuation, investments or funds management operations
- Demonstrated ability to lead both project delivery and business analysis activities across finance and technology functions
- Strong capability in requirements gathering, process analysis, workshop facilitation and stakeholder engagement
- Experience working on system-led change initiatives in partnership with technology teams
- Strong governance, planning, risk and issue management capability
- Experience engaging with external vendors, implementation partners or service providers
- Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship management skills
- The ability to operate confidently in a fast-paced, evolving and highly regulated environment
