The Opportunity
Join a high-profile Queensland Government technology initiative delivering the next generation of intelligent transport capabilities. This contract will see you lead the delivery of a technical prototype within a major statewide transport transformation program, working alongside business and technical experts to enhance passenger transport operations through innovative traffic signal priority technology.
The Role
You'll take ownership of a critical technology work package, ensuring successful delivery while coordinating multiple stakeholders across business and technical teams.
- Lead the planning, delivery, and governance of a key project within a major transport technology program.
- Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risks, issues, and change requests.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to define and validate future capability requirements.
- Work closely with technical specialists to deliver an innovative transport technology prototype.
- Produce project documentation, reporting, and governance artefacts.
- Provide regular status updates and ensure successful stakeholder engagement throughout delivery.
About You
We're looking for an experienced Project Manager with a strong track record delivering ICT or technology projects within complex environments.
- Proven experience delivering technology or ICT projects from initiation through to delivery.
- PRINCE2 certification or equivalent project management experience is highly regarded.
- Experience working with cross-functional technical and business stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of Queensland Government ICT frameworks and governance.
- Excellent communication, leadership, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
- Experience within Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), transport technology, or operational technology environments will be highly regarded.
