Project Manager – Defence
Location: Canberra (preferred), also open to VIC or QLD
Contract: 12 months + 2 x 12 month extensions
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to deliver complex ICT projects within Defence. This role requires full-time presence onsite (5 days per week) due to the secure nature of the work.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage multi-disciplinary project teams, ensuring delivery of schedule, budget, risk, and governance outcomes.
- Develop and maintain project plans, financial records, reports, and briefings to support decision-making.
- Apply project management methodologies (e.g. PRINCE2, SAFe) and manage change, risk, and quality processes.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders, communicate with influence, and facilitate effective decision-making.
About you
- Minimum 4 years’ experience as a Project Manager in complex ICT environments.
- Project management certification (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP, SAFe) or equivalent qualifications.
- Demonstrated experience in financial management, requirements management, and stakeholder engagement.
- Australian citizenship with a current NV2 (or above) security clearance.
