Location: Townsville, QLD
Contract duration: 12-month contract

The Role:
You will lead and deliver a range of IT projects that directly impact community services, collaborating with internal teams and stakeholders to achieve strategic outcomes. Your focus will be on customer-centric solutions, innovation, and value creation while managing projects from initiation to completion.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple IT projects through all lifecycle phases, leading teams and allocating resources
  • Maintain schedules, budgets, and ensure effective communication with stakeholders
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks to maximise project success
  • Apply Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies
  • Demonstrate visible leadership in promoting and maintaining a positive safety culture, exercising due diligence in compliance with Health Safety Management Systems and legislative obligations
  • Deliver high-quality customer outcomes by fostering strong relationships and a customer-focused culture

Skills & Experience:

  • 5–10 years’ project management experience in large, complex environments
  • Skilled in managing multiple projects of varying complexity and risk
  • Tertiary qualification in Project Management, Business, or related experience
  • Certified in Project/Program Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2); ITIL/ITSM certification a plus
  • Strong communication, negotiation, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Proven leadership in safety and compliance promotion, including human resource, financial, and quality management
