The Opportunity

Join a major Queensland Government cyber security program delivering critical identity and access management initiatives that directly support secure healthcare across the state. This opportunity will see you leading large, enterprise-scale cyber security projects focused on Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), working with senior stakeholders to strengthen security posture, improve compliance, and deliver technology that protects one of Australia's largest healthcare environments. This is an initial 10-month contract, based in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane, with a full-time onsite requirement (5 days per week) to support close collaboration across the program.


About the Role

You'll take ownership of delivering one or more complex cyber security initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with established governance and project management standards.

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of enterprise cyber security projects
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risks, issues, and reporting
  • Drive delivery of Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) initiatives
  • Build strong relationships across technical and executive stakeholders
  • Prepare executive briefs, governance papers, and project reporting
  • Lead and mentor multidisciplinary project teams

About You

You're an experienced enterprise Project Manager who has successfully delivered complex cyber security initiatives within large organisations. You combine strong project governance with excellent stakeholder engagement and understand how identity security programs are delivered in highly regulated environments.

  • Proven delivery of large-scale cyber security projects
  • Strong experience implementing enterprise MFA solutions
  • Knowledge of RSA SecurID, Microsoft Entra ID, or similar IAM platforms
  • Excellent PRINCE2 or equivalent project management capability
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and executive communication skills
  • Experience delivering projects aligned with security compliance frameworks such as IS18 will be highly regarded
