About the Role

As a Project Manager – Cyber Security, you will be responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of critical cyber security initiatives, with a particular focus on Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), supporting the organisation’s broader security uplift and modern service delivery objectives. Reporting to the Project Director, you will manage projects in accordance with the department’s formal project management methodologies and best-practice guidelines, ensuring agreed scope, timeframes, budgets, quality standards and strategic outcomes are achieved. You will provide strategic advice and input into project deliverables to ensure alignment with departmental strategies and architecture, while proactively monitoring project performance, risks, issues, dependencies and financials. You will lead and mentor project team members, build strong relationships with technical, business and executive stakeholders, and ensure stakeholders remain appropriately informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle. Through clear and timely reporting, written submissions, briefs, presentations and information papers, you will provide senior stakeholders with the insights required to make informed decisions and successfully navigate complex cyber security delivery challenges.

About You

To be successful in this role, you’ll bring proven experience delivering large-scale, complex cyber security projects within highly regulated enterprise environments, supported by a broad understanding of cyber security domains and the ability to develop robust business cases for security investment. You will ideally have hands-on project delivery experience across Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) implementation, integration and migration, including technologies such as RSA SecurID and Microsoft Entra ID, together with strong knowledge of identity and access management, directory services and security foundations. You will apply established project management methodologies, preferably PRINCE2, to deliver outcomes in accordance with departmental standards and processes, while promoting effective project management practices across multidisciplinary teams. You will demonstrate exceptional stakeholder relationship management, negotiation, consultation and influencing skills, enabling you to engage senior stakeholders, facilitate business change and navigate complex delivery environments. Your experience leading and mentoring multidisciplinary teams, combined with strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving capability, will enable you to manage competing priorities and successfully deliver cyber security initiatives that strengthen identity security and meet mandatory compliance and maturity requirements such as IS18. Experience operating within complex hospital or healthcare environments and understanding how identity and access controls contribute to safe, secure and uninterrupted healthcare delivery will be highly regarded.

The Benefits

You will be offered a 7-month contract (possible extension) on an excellent daily rate and the ability to negotiate a flexible working arrangement for the duration of the assignment.
