Davidson is partnering with a leading financial services organisation to appoint a Program Manager / Senior Project Manager
to play a key role in building out its AI capability.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior leaders to help define what good looks like, identify capability gaps and drive meaningful outcomes across both strategy and delivery.
About the Role
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who can comfortably move between strategic thinking and practical execution. The successful candidate will be expected to roll up their sleeves, shape key pieces of work and partner with business leaders to build out an AI capability that is fit for purpose.
The role will focus on understanding the current state, defining the future state and bridging the gap across people, process and delivery. It will suit someone who is commercially minded, highly credible with stakeholders and confident presenting to senior audiences.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading strategic programs and initiatives focused on AI capability uplift
- Partnering with senior business leaders to shape roadmap, priorities and operating model changes
- Driving delivery across complex, business-critical programs of work
- Translating ambiguity into clear actions, outcomes and plans
- Engaging and influencing senior stakeholders across business and technology
- Presenting recommendations, progress and delivery outcomes to client-facing and executive audiences
- Supporting digital operating model uplift and broader transformation activity
- Taking a pragmatic, hands-on approach to solving problems and getting work moving
About You
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Program Manager or Senior Project Manager
with a strong background in complex transformation, consulting-style problem solving and delivery leadership.
You will bring:
- Proven experience delivering large-scale AI programs or complex AI transformation initiatives
- Experience to AI, emerging technology, or capability-building programs
- Strong consulting or advisory experience, with the ability to strategise and structure ambiguous pieces of work
- A hands-on, all-round approach with the ability to operate at both strategic and delivery levels
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with confidence engaging senior leaders and client-facing audiences
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Experience within financial services is essential
- Superannuation experience is strongly preferred, though strong banking or broader financial services experience will also be considered
