Program Director, Delivery – VIDA Health

Government & Defence

  • Key executive role leading the delivery of major health infrastructure programs across Victoria - SES2
  • Opportunity to lead a multi-billion-dollar portfolio and shape a cohesive, high-performing delivery model during a period of transformation
  • Leadership of multidisciplinary teams delivering projects that directly impact communities and health outcomes.

VIDA Health is responsible for planning, developing and delivering major health infrastructure across Victoria. Working at the centre of government, the organisation partners with health services, clinicians, industry and communities to ensure infrastructure investment meets the needs of a growing and evolving population. With a significant forward pipeline and a focus on long-term system outcomes, VIDA Health plays a critical role in shaping the future of healthcare delivery. The organisation is currently undergoing a period of transformation to strengthen internal capability, embed consistent standards and drive greater value across its portfolio.

The Program Director, Delivery is a senior leadership role responsible for a program stream aligned to a portfolio of health services. As part of a small cohort of Program Directors, the role contributes to a cohesive delivery model with shared accountability for performance and outcomes. The position oversees a large, complex portfolio across the full project lifecycle, managing multiple concurrent initiatives and ensuring strong governance and delivery within scope, time, budget and quality expectations. This includes maintaining clear oversight of risks, issues and priorities across a multi-billion-dollar pipeline.

The role also plays a key part in strengthening delivery frameworks, systems and processes, and provides expert advice to senior executives and government stakeholders on performance, alignment and emerging challenges. A central focus is stakeholder engagement across government, health services and delivery partners, requiring the ability to influence in complex political and operational environments, align priorities and drive accountability. More broadly, the Program Director, Delivery contributes to organisational leadership, supporting reform initiatives, building capability and fostering a high-performing, collaborative culture.

The successful candidate will be an experienced senior leader with a strong track record delivering large-scale infrastructure or capital programs. You will bring deep delivery expertise, strong commercial and governance capability, and the ability to lead high-performing teams while maintaining a strategic, portfolio-wide perspective. Experience may come from government, client-side, consulting or contracting environments. Health sector experience is desirable but not essential; however, experience operating within complex governance and stakeholder environments is critical.

This is a unique opportunity to lead major infrastructure programs at scale and help shape the future of delivery at VIDA Health.
