This well known, high profile government organisation is currently investing in its capability and capacity to create value within the procurement function as part of its overarching commitment to deliver quality services to its stakeholders and customers.

About the Role

You will take responsibility for the ICT spend and work with key technology stakeholders. This Procurement role will require you to manage the full source-to-contract process which includes analysis, tender management, submission review and supplier selection, hands-on contract management and negotiation through to post-award vendor management.

Position Summary

  • Manage and negotiate critical contracts, pricing, and terms of business with suppliers and review opportunities for improvement and managing associated benefits
  • Conduct supplier relationship reviews to ensure compliance and continue to build relationships
  • Continue to build on strong relationships throughout the business, in particular Information Management to increase engagement with the Procurement team
  • Continue to run risk management strategies across the supply network
  • Designing sourcing strategies for a variety of IT products and services in accordance with governance and risk policy.
  • Delivering key stakeholder objectives over various timescales
  • Bringing innovative working practices to the team and able to work across the IT Portfolio projects, BaU renewals.

  • Procurement SME in technology sourcing, contract and vendor management
  • End-to-end strategic sourcing
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Experience working on big challenges against tight deadlines
  • Confident working independently and collaboratively.
  • Working collaboratively with stakeholders and project partners.

About You

  • You will be an immediately available ICT Procurement Specialist with experience managing tenders and executing procurement category strategies with a strong technology focus.
  • In short, you will be able to work constructively with stakeholders and manage the IT / Technology category spend.

The Benefits

  • This role is available for an immediate start (1-2 weeks notice is fine) and will initially be offered on a 6 month contract.
  • There is a very high likelihood of the contract being extended or going permanent.
  • Hourly rate commensurate with role and experience; circa $70-90 p.h + super depending on 4 or 5 days worked.
  • High degree of Work from Home / in Office flexibility.
  • 4 day working week is also negotiable.
