As part of this growth, Iberdrola is seeking an experienced O&M Procurement Manager
to lead procurement across operations and maintenance activities, supporting the long-term performance, reliability, and sustainability of critical energy assets.
About the Role
Reporting to the Procurement Lead, this role plays a pivotal part in shaping O&M procurement strategy across scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, lifecycle capital works, spare parts, and operational services. You will work closely with operations, engineering, projects, and external partners to ensure value for money, operational readiness, and strong local and social procurement outcomes.
This is a hands-on role with genuine influence, ideal for someone who enjoys operating at the intersection of commercial strategy, operational delivery, and stakeholder engagement.
Key responsibilities
- Lead procurement for scheduled and unscheduled O&M services, including vegetation management, bushfire risk mitigation, remedial works, and emergency response
- Manage lifecycle capital works procurement (overhauls, replacements, refurbishments)
- Run competitive tender processes (ROI/EOI and RFP) and establish supplier panels and long-term agreements
- Oversee spare parts and inventory procurement to support operational continuity
- Negotiate and manage supplier contracts and performance against LTSAs
- Support the transition from commissioning into steady-state operations
- Embed local content, social procurement, sustainability, and ethical procurement principles
- Collaborate across internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery
About you
You are a commercially astute procurement professional with strong experience in O&M environments, ideally within energy, utilities, or large infrastructure. You bring a pragmatic, structured approach and are comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders and complex supplier markets.
You will bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in engineering, supply chain, business, or a related discipline (postgraduate qualifications highly regarded)
- Demonstrated experience in O&M and/or lifecycle asset procurement
- Strong capability in managing competitive tenders and supplier panels
- Knowledge of Australian energy markets, supply chains, and regulatory frameworks
- Experience embedding local and social procurement outcomes
- Familiarity with procurement systems (SAP Ariba highly regarded)
