The Role - Delivering the Vision
As a result of a strategic business review and forward planning for future state success, this newly created position as Procurement Manager for Engineering & Technical Services has been created.
In addition to motivating and inspiring your team, you will take responsibility for a sizeable spend and strategic focus to support and interface with key stakeholders in a genuine business partnering mindset. You will be responsible for the preparation and presentation of key procurement initiatives and the execution of big picture, forward thinking strategies as part of a continuous improvement mindset that create value and kick goals. The organisation has invested extensively in its procurement capability with significant and complex projects underway and this role will be fundamental in achieving success.
In short, you will support the delivery of wins as well as setting the strategic vision that underpins a cohesive approach to building long term successes, rather than purely reactive tactical project wins. Your team will work to deliver genuine category management plans which includes due consideration of price, value, risk and quality as well as ethical sourcing and sustainability as part of your commercial evaluation and management of this interesting and broad role across the directs focused spend which could include pumps, services, engineering equipment, maintenance and repair contracts for mechanical, electrical, civil works and industrial focused contracts for instance.
Is this You?
You will have a proven track-record of success delivering wins in the direct spend procurement arena. You will be a confident, yet approachable Procurement Manager who can deliver category management strategies as well as undertake a variety of exciting long-term projects . You will be adept at communicating procurement to key stakeholders and work to ensure the attainment of best-in-class solutions as part of an end-to-end category remit. You will work collaboratively with suppliers to ensure a collegiate working dynamic and positive vendor management is attained.
Procurement Candidates who have worked in an industrial, manufacturing, construction, engineering or chemical process / treatment or analogous environments would be highly encouraged to apply.
