This organisation is part of a global multinational group and is undoubtedly one of the world's leading energy businesses with a strategic focus to expand its substantive Australian operations across the renewables sector including wind and solar power generation, as well as industrial batteries and energy storage technology.

Now entering a major phase of project delivery and infrastructure works with a pipeline of high value, complex contract, multi-billion dollar investments, this organisation is looking to appoint a highly specialised Procurement Lead to support the Head of Procurement with a purpose-driven roll-out of key objectives and capability build.

About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Head of Procurement, this position will play a pivotal role in planning, sourcing, and managing relationships with suppliers, contractors, and stakeholders as well as leading a highly specialised procurement team.

You will lead procurement efforts across the Transmission project's needs and pipelines while working collaboratively with the project team to ensure successful outcomes. This role suits a senior procurement professional with deep experience in high voltage electricity transmission or large-scale energy projects, who can motivate and inspire a lean, yet exceptionally capable team.

This role will take the lead on the preparation and presentation of strategic procurement initiatives incorporating responsibility on a source to contract basis which includes analysis, supplier selection, category management, strategic sourcing, contract management and ongoing vendor relationships.

You will prepare high-quality briefs, plans, reports, and presentations for governance forums including the Project Steering Committee, ensure compliance with procurement policies and promote ethical, sustainable, and safe procurement practices whilst delivering success measured by optimal outcomes across price, risk, quality, regulatory compliance and ESG centred social procurement priorities.

About the Successful Candidate

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate a proven track record of success, leading procurement wins in a complex electricity transmission, energy, or large-scale electrical infrastructure environment. You will have worked in a Transmission Network Service Provider as part of a project construction environment or major electricity / renewables sector focus.

You will be confident navigating complex commercial and governance frameworks, with strong knowledge of relevant legislation, Australian Standards, and procurement compliance requirements. Your communication and stakeholder engagement skills will be exceptional, enabling you to influence senior leaders and present effectively to governance forums.
