Procurement Lead

Procurement and Supply Chain

About the Company

An exciting opportunity has emerged to join Iberdrola, now entering a major phase of project delivery and growth as they embark on delivering one of Australia’s most significant energy infrastructure developments. With a multibillion-dollar global investment pipeline and a strong local portfolio spanning wind, solar, batteries, and large-scale infrastructure, Iberdrola is a major force in Australia’s clean energy transition. With the ability to shape commercial strategy, influence supplier and contractor engagement, and drive procurement outcomes, this role will place you at the forefront of a purpose-driven organisation that values innovation, collaboration, and excellence.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Procurement, this position will play a pivotal role in planning, sourcing, and managing relationships with suppliers, contractors, and stakeholders. You will lead procurement efforts across the Transmission project's needs and pipelines while working collaboratively with the project team to ensure successful outcomes. This role suits a senior procurement professional with deep experience in transmission or large-scale energy projects, who enjoys building capability, leading others, and pushing for excellence. Your duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Lead procurement planning, sourcing, and supplier/contractor relationship management across major project packages
  • Own and consolidate the Subcontract Packaging & Procurement Plan, ensuring timelines, probity, confidentiality, and evaluation frameworks are met
  • Partner with project teams to develop procurement strategies aligned with category management for D&C and O&M
  • Prepare high-quality briefs, plans, reports, and presentations for governance forums including the Project Steering Committee
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and promote ethical, sustainable, and safe procurement practices

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring a proven track record in complex transmission, energy, or large-scale infrastructure environments. Ideally, you will hold a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, or Supply Chain, supported by more than 10 years’ experience across major procurement functions. You will be confident navigating complex commercial and governance frameworks, with strong knowledge of relevant legislation, Australian Standards, and procurement compliance requirements. Your communication and stakeholder engagement skills will be exceptional, enabling you to influence senior leaders and present effectively to governance forums.

In return you will work in a genuinely supportive and collaborative team, have the opportunity to influence procurement strategy at scale and have ongoing professional development and clear pathways for growth.
