About the Role

We are seeking Expressions of Interest for an experienced and strategic Procurement Lead to join the team, reporting directly to the Head of Procurement. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for planning, sourcing, and managing supplier and contractor relationships across a diverse and dynamic project pipeline. As a key member of the procurement team, you will lead end-to-end procurement activities and collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to deliver high-impact outcomes that align with project goals and compliance standards.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate exceptional communication and report-writing skills, underpinned by a strong sense of integrity and professionalism. You will bring a solid understanding of relevant legislation, Australian Standards, and government procurement policy guidelines. Your advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities will enable you to navigate complex procurement challenges with confidence. Additionally, your proven experience in engaging and influencing senior stakeholders will ensure alignment and collaboration across all aspects of the project.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead the planning, procurement, and management of relationships with suppliers, contractors, and consultants, with full accountability for supplier performance and relationship governance.

· Consolidate and maintain the Subcontract Packaging and Procurement Plan, including timelines, team responsibilities, and requirements for probity, confidentiality, and evaluation, in alignment with project governance frameworks.

· Collaborate with project teams and client representatives to develop procurement strategies aligned with category management approaches for both Design & Construct (D&C) and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) phases.

· Ensure the timely and efficient procurement of equipment and services to meet project delivery schedules.

· Prepare high-quality reports, concept briefs, program plans, and presentations for key stakeholders and governance bodies, including the Project Steering Committee and Transformation Decision Group.

· Lead, mentor, and develop a team of two procurement professionals, promoting a culture of collaboration, excellence, and continuous improvement.

· Ensure compliance with all procurement policies and procedures, while promoting ethical, sustainable, and safe procurement practices across all activities.
