Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline across North Queensland, an exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Principal Project Manager to join the business.
About the Opportunity
This is a senior leadership opportunity for an accomplished project professional with a strong background in transport infrastructure, highways or civil engineering projects.
Working closely with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary project teams, you will be responsible for leading the successful delivery of complex infrastructure programs while driving stakeholder engagement, commercial outcomes and business growth.
The role can be based in Cairns, Townsville, Mackay or Rockhampton.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of complex transport and infrastructure projects from planning through to completion
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and delivery partners
- Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams to achieve successful project outcomes
- Manage project schedules, budgets, risks and overall financial performance
- Provide leadership, mentoring and guidance to project teams
- Support business development initiatives and contribute to future project opportunities
- Drive a culture of safety, quality and technical excellence
About You
- 10+ years' experience in project management, infrastructure delivery or engineering consultancy environments
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects or leading large, complex infrastructure programs
- Strong background in transport, highways, roads or civil infrastructure projects
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
- Strong commercial acumen and project financial management capability
- Exceptional communication, leadership and team management skills
- Ability to lead and influence multidisciplinary teams in complex project environments
