About the Company

Davidson is working with a state government client who is seeking an experienced Principal Program Officer (AO7) to support the delivery of key social and affordable housing initiatives across Queensland.



About the Role

As Principal Program Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of new investment opportunities in partnership with the community housing sector to increase social and affordable housing supply.

You will be responsible for coordinating program reporting and administration, managing stakeholder engagement, and preparing high-quality briefings and advice.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate and attend regular meetings with program stakeholders, including community housing providers and government partners.
  • Prepare Commonwealth and internal reporting to support program oversight and accountability.
  • Manage the program mailbox and respond to enquiries from stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain data integrity, including regular reviews to ensure accurate and high-quality data for reporting and analysis.
  • Support program management activities, including managing implementation matters, changes, and maintaining the program risk register.
  • Provide professional, expert and timely advice to colleagues and senior management to inform strategy, direction and problem-solving.
  • Support collaboration with delivery partners including the Queensland Rural and Industry Development Authority and Queensland Treasury.



About You

  • Demonstrated experience managing a government funding program or program of works with complex reporting requirements will be highly regarded.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to a dynamic and changing environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships, influence and engage with a range of stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and research skills, with sound judgement in decision-making.
  • High attention to detail, with a focus on maintaining accurate data and achieving program outcomes.
  • Proactive and accountable, with the ability to identify and resolve issues impacting delivery.



Benefits

  • $88.29 per hour + Super
  • Part time role - Government Contract
  • Located in Brisbane
