The Opportunity
This is a Brisbane-based contract opportunity for a Principal Business Analyst to support a major cyber security program delivering critical uplift across a large and complex enterprise environment. Working within a high-profile digital health setting, you will lead business analysis across strategic cyber initiatives with a strong focus on security technologies such as MFA, DLP, network security, security governance, and Entra ID. This role will suit a senior BA who knows how to operate in complexity, bring structure to ambiguity, and deliver high-quality analysis artefacts that support large-scale transformation.

The Role
In this role, you will take ownership of end-to-end business analysis activities across one or more cyber security initiatives. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, project leaders, and vendors to define requirements, improve processes, and help shape fit-for-purpose solutions.

  • Lead end-to-end business analysis across complex cyber security projects
  • Elicit, validate, and document functional and non-functional requirements
  • Deliver business cases, gap analysis, process models, and future-state designs
  • Review vendor artefacts and identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities
  • Facilitate workshops with senior stakeholders across business and technology teams
  • Produce clear, high-quality documentation aligned to project standards

About You
You are a senior Business Analyst with proven experience working across enterprise ICT environments, ideally within cyber security or similarly complex transformation programs. You can challenge stakeholders, cut through ambiguity, and produce structured, decision-ready artefacts.

  • Strong experience delivering BA outcomes across large-scale ICT programs
  • Proven background in cyber security projects or security-related initiatives
  • Skilled in business process modelling, requirements definition, and traceability
  • Confident engaging senior stakeholders and leading complex workshops
  • Experience reviewing and validating outputs from external vendors
  • Knowledge of tools and frameworks aligned to BABOK is highly regarded
