We are seeking an experienced Senior PMO Analyst (Governance & Project Controls) to support a large construction program undergoing a significant uplift in program governance, controls, and administration.
This role sits within the Program Management Office (PMO) and plays a critical role in establishing, embedding, and sustaining consistent governance standards, project controls, and reporting practices across a complex, multi-project environment.
About the Role
You will report to the Program Manager and work closely with project and program leaders to support the rollout of new program governance standards, controls, and tools, helping to mature the way projects are governed, reported, and assured.
A key focus of the role will be on risk and dependency management, including the design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of program-level risk registers, inter-dependency registers, and dependency maps.
This is a senior PMO support role, well suited to someone who enjoys building frameworks, uplifting capability, and bringing structure to complex delivery environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation and ongoing compliance of new project and program controls standards
- Establish and support program office governance forums, including preparation of agendas, papers, actions, and decision logs
- Develop, implement, and maintain program-level registers, including:
- Program risk and issue registers
- Inter-dependency registers and dependency maps
- Change and variation registers
- Support dependency mapping across projects to identify critical path impacts, cross-project risks, and sequencing conflicts
- Provide governance support to projects being stood up, including assurance, controls onboarding, and governance compliance
- Ensure consistency of governance artefacts, reporting, and controls across the program
- Support project teams with PMO guidance, tools, templates, and best practice
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of PMO processes, standards, and documentation
About You
You are a seasoned PMO / Project Controls professional with strong governance credentials and experience working in complex construction, utilities, or infrastructure environments.
You bring a practical, hands-on approach and are confident operating at program level, engaging with senior stakeholders and multiple delivery teams.
Key skills and experience include:
- Proven experience in a PMO Analyst or Senior PMO role, ideally within large construction or utilities programs
- Strong experience managing program risk registers, dependency registers, and inter-dependency mapping
- Solid understanding of project and program governance frameworks
- Experience supporting program-level governance forums and reporting
- Demonstrated ability to uplift and standardise project controls and PMO practices
- Experience working across multiple projects with complex interdependencies
- Exposure to SAP in a project administration or project controls context (highly regarded)
- Utilities, infrastructure, or construction sector experience (strongly preferred)
Qualifications (Desirable)
- Practitioner-level certification or strong working knowledge of:
- PMBOK / PMP
- PRINCE2
- MSP (Managing Successful Programmes)
- Relevant project management or business qualifications
