With the opening of their newest location in Lara, Community Care Chemist is seeking a Pharmacy Manager to lead the store’s launch and ongoing operations with a strong focus on team, community and performance.
The Opportunity
As the Pharmacy Manager, you’ll take the lead in establishing the Lara store, managing all aspects of daily operations while fostering a values-aligned, customer-first culture. You’ll also serve as a community connector, driving engagement with local health providers, residents and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
Business & Operations
- Oversee day-to-day operations and ensure smooth store launch
- Drive prescription growth, health service delivery, and retail performance
- Collaborate with leadership to design a local business strategy aligned to Lara’s community needs
People & Culture - Build and lead a cohesive team grounded in connection, respect, energy, and accountability
- Manage recruitment, training, and development of pharmacy staff
- Foster a culture of coaching, continuous improvement, and customer care
Community Engagement - Establish trusted relationships with local GPs, allied health, and community organisations
- Actively promote and participate in community health initiatives
- Be a visible, approachable leader in-store and across Lara
Compliance & Clinical Governance - Ensure compliance with all regulatory and compliance requirements
- Manage dispensing protocols, inventory controls, and service delivery
- Identify and mitigate operational risks proactively
What Success Looks Like - Meeting/exceeding KPIs in prescriptions, retail and service delivery
- A high-performing, values-led team with strong morale and retention

About You - Registered Pharmacist (AHPRA) with a pharmacy degree
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a community or retail pharmacy setting
- Strong commercial awareness and customer service orientation
- Community-minded with a collaborative, hands-on leadership style
- Effective communicator and cultural role model
