People Operations Manager

Our client is seeking a capable and people-focused People Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day delivery of core HR operations while partnering closely with leaders across the business. This role will suit someone who enjoys balancing operational HR leadership with continuous improvement, compliance and employee experience.

Leading a small and supportive team, you will play an important role in ensuring people processes, systems and frameworks are efficient, compliant and aligned to organisational values.

About the Role

Reporting into senior leadership, the People Operations Manager will oversee key operational HR activities across the employee lifecycle and support the ongoing development of people practices and systems.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the delivery of day-to-day People Operations activities across the organisation
  • Maintaining and improving HR policies, procedures and people frameworks
  • Overseeing employment contracts, compliance documentation and HR governance processes
  • Providing advice and guidance relating to Awards, Enterprise Agreements and employment obligations
  • Supporting HRIS management, reporting and people metrics to assist workforce planning and decision making
  • Leading and mentoring a collaborative and service-oriented People Operations team
  • Partnering with leaders to support employee experience, consistency and capability uplift
  • Contributing to process improvement and broader People & Culture initiatives

About You

You are an organised, approachable and solutions-focused HR professional who enjoys creating structure, supporting leaders and improving processes.

You bring a strong understanding of operational HR and employment compliance, along with the ability to build positive working relationships across a diverse organisation.

You will likely bring:

  • Experience in a People Operations, HR Operations or broader HR management role
  • Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation, Awards and Enterprise Agreements
  • Experience managing HR administration, compliance and employment documentation
  • Exposure to HR systems, reporting and workforce metrics
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • A collaborative leadership style and genuine commitment to team culture and continuous improvement
