People & Culture Business Partner | Global Consultancy

Human Resources & Recruitment

About the Company
Our client is a large global professional services consultancy supporting major infrastructure, environmental and advisory projects across Australia and internationally.

Operating across multiple Australian locations, leaders manage dispersed teams and rely on People & Culture partners to support performance, engagement and leadership capability. The HR function is well established, operating within a Business Partner, Shared Services and Centres of Excellence model where HR is positioned as a genuine partner to the business.

About the Role
This opportunity sits firmly in the true business partnering space.

You will support a national portfolio of leaders, helping them strengthen team effectiveness, address emerging people challenges and improve decision-making. While you will manage ER matters when required, the role is focused on coaching, influencing and preventing issues before they escalate.

This contract will commence as an initial 6-month engagement with a planned extension to 12 months and a strong likelihood of continuation for up to 18 months.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Partnering with leaders to improve performance and engagement
  • Coaching managers through people and behavioural challenges
  • Identifying patterns and addressing root-cause issues
  • Supporting performance and planning cycles
  • Managing investigations and ER matters when required
  • Working with COEs and shared services to deliver outcomes

About You
You are an experienced HR Business Partner who prefers influencing outcomes rather than processing transactions.

You likely bring:

  • HRBP experience within a complex or multince, multi-site organisation
  • Strong Australian employment relations knowledge
  • Confidence coaching leaders through people challenges
  • Ability to read situations and connect themes across teams
  • A proactive, relationship-driven approach

This role suits someone who enjoys the “thinking” side of HR - interpreting situations, guiding leaders and adding value beyond policy.

The Benefits

  • Genuine partnering environment, not reactive HR
  • Exposure to national leadership stakeholders
  • Established HR structure supporting your work
  • Flexible hybrid working model
  • Stable contract with planned extension (6 → 12+ months)
