About the Company
An opportunity is available for an experienced Payroll Officer to join a well‑established organisation operating in the construction services sector. This is an in‑office contract role based in the eastern suburbs, commencing immediately and continuing until the position is filled on a permanent basis, with a genuine opportunity for permanency for the right person.
The role is fully office‑based, with street parking available and a 12–15 minute walk to the nearest train station. This is a hands‑on payroll role suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast‑paced, award‑driven environment and can hit the ground running.
This role offers a negotiable hourly rate between $50.00 and $70.00 per hour plus superannuation, dependent on experience.
About the Role
Key responsibilities include:
- End‑to‑end processing of weekly and fortnightly payrolls
- Accurate interpretation and application of awards, including shift work, overtime, penalties and allowances
- Maintaining and updating employee payroll records
- Responding to payroll queries from employees and stakeholders
- Preparation and submission of payroll tax, PAYG, superannuation and workers compensation
- Payroll reconciliations and reporting
