About the Role

As a Payroll Officer, you’ll be a key member of a high-performing payroll team responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and confidential payroll services. This role is firmly focused on business-as-usual payroll processing, ensuring employees are paid correctly and on time, every time.

You’ll manage payroll data, maintain employee records, and work closely with Finance and People & Culture to resolve payroll queries and keep everything running smoothly.

Key responsibilities include:

  • End-to-end payroll processing across manual and electronic wage records
  • Maintaining accurate employee and payroll data within the HRIS
  • Ensuring compliance with superannuation, taxation, awards, and enterprise agreements
  • Managing payroll reconciliations, reporting, audits, and EOFY activities
  • Investigating and resolving payroll discrepancies and employee queries
  • Processing payroll adjustments, allowances, deductions, and terminations
  • Working collaboratively with Finance and People & Culture on day-to-day payroll matters


About You

You’re a dependable, detail-driven payroll professional who takes pride in getting payroll right. You’re comfortable working in structured environments, respect confidentiality, and don’t need fireworks to stay engaged — just a well-run payroll and clear expectations.


You will have:

  • Proven end-to-end payroll processing experience
  • Strong working knowledge of HRIS platforms
  • Solid Microsoft Excel skills
  • High attention to detail and strong numerical accuracy
  • Clear and professional communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing deadlines
  • Confidence explaining payroll outcomes and resolving queries
