A company restructure has resulted in a newly created position for a part-time Payroll Officer to join their tight-knit team.

About the position

The Payroll Officer is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, maintaining compliance with relevant legislation, and providing exceptional support to employees regarding payroll queries. You will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of payroll data and supporting strategic financial processes.

  • Process weekly payroll in accordance with industrial awards and agreements
  • Ensure compliance with Fair Work, taxation, and superannuation requirements
  • Maintain accurate payroll system data and employment records
  • Prepare and lodge PAYG, payroll tax, and superannuation contributions
  • Manage redundancy and income protection fund contributions
  • Respond promptly and professionally to payroll-related queries
  • Prepare payroll reports for management and finance teams
  • Support audits and contribute to continuous process improvements

About the offer

  • $80 000 to $90 000 per annum plus super, pro-rata for part-time

About you

  • Proven experience in payroll processing
  • Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and compliance requirements
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in data management
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in payroll systems and MS Excel
