An exciting opportunity has become available for a Payroll Coordinator to join a high‑performing payroll team within a well‑established organisation in the health and lifestyle sector. This is a newly created role, introduced as the business brings its payroll function in‑house, offering the chance to be involved in shaping processes while working within a supportive and collaborative environment.
About the role
Reporting to the Payroll Manager and working as part of a close‑knit team, you will play a key role in coordinating end‑to‑end payroll activities and acting as a trusted point of contact for payroll enquiries.
This role supports fortnightly pay processing for a large and diverse workforce and focuses on accuracy, compliance and service delivery.
Key responsibilities:
- Coordinating and supporting end‑to‑end fortnightly payroll processing
- Maintaining accurate payroll records including starters, changes and leavers
- Responding to payroll queries and resolving discrepancies
- Supporting compliance obligations including superannuation and reporting
- Partnering closely with internal stakeholders and the wider People & Culture team
- Contributing to continuous improvement of payroll processes as the function transitions in‑house
About you
- Prior experience in a payroll role, ideally in a medium to large organisation
- Sound understanding of payroll legislation and compliance requirements
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing deadlines
- Confident communicator who enjoys working as part of a team
- Comfortable working in a change environment and open to new ways of working
