About the Company

Davidson is working with a state government client who is seeking an experienced Organisation Change Manager with experience in Financial Management.

About the Role/s

One of these projects is focussed on the uplift of the Division’s infrastructure financial management practices, with the first stage of this project focussed on the management of accruals for infrastructure projects.

In the next stage of this project, the Financial Management Project will focus on enhancing ISD’s financial management processes to drive greater accuracy, efficiency, and transparency in financial operations.

This role is needed to bring change management expertise to the internal project team. The successful candidate in this role will collaborate with the embedded consultancy resources and work with stakeholders across the Division to analyse the current change initiatives and work with stakeholders to foster and embed project outcomes with senior leaders through to frontline staff.

Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to;

  • Develop comprehensive change management strategies that align with the organisation's goals and objectives.
  • Create and maintain detailed change plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Identify potential risks and obstacles related to change initiatives and proactively develop mitigation plans.
  • Develop and implement foundational change management processes and frameworks tailored to the Division's needs, ensuring scalability for future use.
  • Identify key stakeholders impacted by the change and develop engagement plans for each group.
  • Establish clear lines of communication with stakeholders, ensuring that their concerns and feedback are addressed effectively.
  • Oversee the execution of change initiatives, monitoring progress and adjusting strategies as necessary.
  • Ensure that all changes are implemented with minimal disruption to daily operations.
  • Establish metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of change initiatives.
  • Maintain detailed records of change initiatives, progress, and outcomes.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.

About you

  • Proven experience in transformation projects, preferably in government or education sectors Certification in change management (e.g., Prosci, ADKAR).
  • Experience with SAP.
  • Experience in business transformation and change management initiatives.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

The Benefits

  • $119.87 per hour + Super (PAYG Agency Contractor)
  • Contract up to June 2026
  • Brisbane, CBD
  • Full-time hours, Monday to Friday
