About the Company

We are working with a state government client who is seeking an experienced supervisor who will be responsible for managing an inbox for maintenance repairs, quotes and technical recommendations and information. Our client is ideally seeking someone who has worked within the construction industry.

About the Role

  • You will assist in managing a mailbox for replacements for Air Condition system within schools Across SEQ.
  • You will be communicating with contractors, schools and Senior supervisors on project status.
  • Manage School correspondence / follow up as required for replacement works with Contractor correspondence / follow up.
  • Condition Report follow up and Repair and replacement status
  • Provide efficient and high standards of customer service to the department’s customers.
  • Effectively monitor and manage internal and external correspondence, incoming and outgoing telephone calls and ensure responses are provided within required time frames.
  • Ability to connect with industry, local suppliers, and internal and external stakeholders to ensure the timely and effective delivery of services
  • Be dedicated to customer satisfaction, and within boundaries, develop an outcome which achieves both customer and business objectives.
  • Ensure high standards and accuracy when compiling documents and reports or updating records and information systems (i.e., in Ellipse and Microsoft Office).
  • Demonstrate initiative and be a team player by appropriately handling enquiries to senior staff in their absence within expected timeframes.
  • Maintain procedures, manuals and registers while being a contributor to improving existing procedures.
  • Effectively undertake general administration functions as required.
  • Provide value for money checks on mechanical / electrical works
  • Create quotes and tenders via the government portals.
  • Create scopes and cost estimates for mechanical and electrical works.
  • Ensure all job documentation includes safe work method statement or other risk assessment documentation as appropriate.

About you

  • Experience managing high-volume inboxes.
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills — able to manage competing priorities and meet KPIs.
  • Must have strong Outlook and MS Teams knowledge, have strong computer skills.
  • Have existing supervisory experience.
  • Must hold a current Blue Card or be in the process of obtaining a blue card.
  • Must be able to work in the office full time.
  • Willingness to work within a fast-paced.
  • Construction industry related trade qualification (highly desirable).
  • Trade background of Mechanical or Electrical trade (highly desirable).


The Benefits

  • $61.64 per hour + Super (PAYG Agency Contractor)
  • Contract up to June 2026
  • Cannon Hill location
  • Full-time hours, Monday to Friday
