The Role
As a Network Engineer you will be responsible for supporting and enhancing the client’s network and infrastructure environment across multiple locations.
Your other responsibilities will include:
- Managing network operations across WAN, LAN, WLAN, VPN and firewall systems, including Cisco, Fortinet, and Meraki technologies
- Providing L2–L3 technical support for P1 and P2 incidents, with on-call responsibilities on a rotating roster (approx. one week in four)
- Troubleshooting complex connectivity and application issues, including network segmentation, routing, IP addressing, and firewall configurations
- Collaborating with external vendors (e.g. Cisco, Telstra) and acting as the escalation point for internal teams
- Supporting project delivery across network upgrades, cloud transitions (Azure), and critical infrastructure initiatives
- Maintaining infrastructure documentation and leading improvements aligned with ITIL practices
About You
In order to be a successful applicant you will:
- Bring demonstrated L2–L3 experience across enterprise network environments, with strong skills in IP troubleshooting and secure network design
- Hold relevant certifications (e.g. CCNA) and have hands-on experience with Cisco and Meraki platforms (Fortinet experience is a bonus)
- Be confident managing critical incidents and coordinating vendor escalations
- Have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Be familiar with ServiceNow, Azure environments, and hybrid infrastructure support
- Show initiative and flexibility in working across remote and on-site environments, with a growth mindset and team-first attitude
