About the Company
Davidson Technology are working with a large State Government Department to secure a M365 Collaboration Migration Specialist (Sharepoint and MS Teams) who will work across the Digital Marketplace portfolio with a strong focus on guiding and overseeing tenant migration activities required by the Machinery of Government program.
About the Role
As the M365 Collaboration Migration Specialist, you’ll be responsible for delivering end-to-end migration of SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, and broader Microsoft 365 components as part of a large-scale government tenant migration. You will focus on planning and executing structured, wave-based migrations using tools such as ShareGate and MigrationWiz, ensuring the accurate transition of business-critical data, including files, metadata, and permissions, into a new tenant environment. Key responsibilities include SharePoint configuration and modern site structuring, providing technical expertise across migration design and execution, and collaborating closely with stakeholders, project teams, and technical leads to ensure seamless adoption and continuity post-migration. You’ll also be involved in identifying risks, driving process improvements, and acting as a lead technical resource to support successful delivery of enterprise collaboration solutions.
About You
To be successful in this role, you’ll possess over 7 years’ experience delivering large-scale SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams migrations within complex enterprise environments. You’ll bring expert-level capability across systems administration, migration tooling (including ShareGate and MigrationWiz), and the configuration of modern collaboration platforms, including sites, libraries, metadata, permissions, and content structures, whilst demonstrating a strong understanding of Microsoft 365 identity and access (Entra ID, M365 groups) including the ability to simplify complex permission models into scalable, business-aligned solutions. You’ll be known for building effective stakeholder relationships, acting as a trusted technical advisor, and communicating complex concepts clearly across diverse audiences coupled with a proven track record of delivering high-quality outcomes within structured migration projects, consistently meeting deadlines while identifying risks, resolving issues, and driving continuous improvement.
The Benefits
You will be offered a contract until end of July 2026 (possible extension) on an excellent hourly rate and the ability to negotiate a flexible working arrangement for the duration of the assignment.
