JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced Maximo Technical Lead to drive the end-to-end redeployment of an enterprise Asset Management platform into a secure, high-performing environment.
This role will take ownership of technical leadership across architecture, integration, performance optimisation, and operational readiness, ensuring a robust and scalable IBM Maximo ecosystem with minimal disruption to business operations.

Role Purpose
Own the end-to-end technical leadership for the redeployment of IBM Maximo and BIRT reporting into a secure target environment, ensuring a hardened, performant, and supportable EAM platform with minimal disruption to asset operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Solution & Technical Leadership

  • Act as the overall Maximo technical authority, guiding architecture, configuration, and deployment decisions aligned to enterprise security and operational standards.
  • Lead the redeployment of IBM Maximo and BIRT into the secure environment, ensuring compliance with security, regulatory, and assetintensive operational requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with Solution Architects and Infrastructure teams to align environment design, network controls, access models, and deployment patterns.

Environment Hardening & Performance

  • Define and implement environment hardening standards including security configuration, access controls, auditing, logging, and configuration governance.
  • Establish performance baselining for Maximo and BIRT covering batch jobs, integrations, reports, and peak operational workloads.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate performance risks, particularly across integrations and reporting volumes.

Integration & MIF Leadership

  • Lead configuration and management of the Maximo Integration Framework (MIF).
  • Oversee readiness of integrations from BizTalk/AIS, GIS, and Historian platforms in line with the overlapping wave delivery plan.
  • Enable incremental integration testing early in the delivery lifecycle to reduce cutover risk and validate end-to-end data flows.

Configuration & Release Management

  • Define and enforce version controlled configuration promotion across environments (Dev → Test → Prod).
  • Ensure configuration consistency, traceability, and rollback capability throughout migration and cutover.
  • Coordinate release sequencing across internal and thirdparty teams, recognizing external environment dependencies.

Migration & Data Integrity

  • Oversee master and reference data reconciliation, ensuring accuracy of asset hierarchies, locations, and reference codes.
  • Validate migrated configuration and data against operational, reporting, and regulatory expectations.
  • Lead cutover execution to ensure continuity of asset operations.

Operational Readiness & Handover

  • Develop and deliver runbooks, operational procedures, and support documentation.
  • Define operational KPIs covering system health, performance, integration stability, and reporting.
  • Support knowledge transfer and transition to BAU support teams.
