Maximo Migration Business Analyst

Information & Communication Technology

JOB OVERVIEW:

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support a large-scale enterprise system redeployment within the asset management and maintenance domain in the location of Melbourne (Adelaide optional) on Hybrid schedule. This role will play a critical part in ensuring business requirements, integrations, and reporting capabilities are accurately defined and delivered, enabling a seamless transition with minimal operational disruption.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements & Process Alignment

  • Elicit and document business, operational, and reporting requirements across asset management and maintenance domains.
  • Map current state and future state processes, ensuring Maximo configuration aligns to the target operating model.
  • Validate scope across Maximo modules, BIRT reporting, and integrations to avoid functional gaps.

Integration & Data Analysis

  • Define functional requirements for integrations with BizTalk/AIS, GIS, and Historian systems.
  • Support early integration readiness by validating data mappings, business rules, and interface dependencies.
  • Ensure integration testing reflects real operational scenarios, not just technical success criteria.

Reporting & Insights (BIRT)

  • Lead BIRT catalogue validation, confirming report relevance, accuracy, and performance expectations.
  • Ensure reporting supports operational, compliance, and management decision making.
  • Identify opportunities to rationalise redundant or obsolete reports.

Migration Support & Data Reconciliation:

  • Define and support data migration rules for master and reference data.
  • Participate in data validation and reconciliation cycles postmigration.
  • Support business signoff for migrated data and configuration.

Testing & Cutover Support

  • Define and support business led test scenarios across integrations, reporting, and end-to-end workflows.
  • Support UAT execution, defect triage, and resolution prioritisation.
  • Validate business readiness for cutover and go live.

Change, Handover & Adoption

  • Contribute to runbooks, SOPs, and operational documentation from a business perspective.
  • Support knowledge transfer to operational and support teams.
  • Validate that agreed KPIs and reporting meet post-go live business expectations.
