JOB OVERVIEW:
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst
to support a large-scale enterprise system redeployment within the asset management and maintenance domain in the location of Melbourne (Adelaide optional) on Hybrid schedule. This role will play a critical part in ensuring business requirements, integrations, and reporting capabilities are accurately defined and delivered, enabling a seamless transition with minimal operational disruption.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst working in highly analytical, technical, or data driven environments.
- Exceptional mathematical and logical reasoning skills, comparable to an engineering discipline.
- Strong ability to work with complex calculations, rules engines, data transformations, or algorithms.
- Experience translating abstract or ambiguous problems into precise, testable requirements.
- Comfortable engaging deeply with technical teams on logic, constraints, and edge cases.
- Strong documentation skills, producing clear, structured, and unambiguous artefacts.
Technical & Analytical Capabilities:
- Advanced analytical thinking and problem decomposition.
- Strong understanding of systems behaviour, dependencies, and constraints.
- Experience with modelling techniques
such as:
- Decision tables and decision trees
- Logical flow diagrams
- Data and process models
- Scenario and sensitivity analysis
- High proficiency with analytical tools (e.g. Excel, SQL, or equivalent modelling tools).
Desirable :
- Background in engineering, mathematics, physics, computer science, or quantitative finance.
- Experience working on data intensive, integration heavy, or calculation-driven systems.
- Exposure to regulated or high assurance environments where correctness is critical.
- Ability to challenge assumptions and designs through evidence-based reasoning.
