Information & Communication Technology

About the Company

Davidson Technology are working with a leading Federal Government Agency to secure an experienced Master Scheduler to join the team on a part-time basis, 32-hours per week over 4-days who can be located in QLD, VIC, NSW or ACT.

About the Role

As an experienced Master Scheduler, you will provide centralised management, governance and coordination of a complex IT roadmap and program of work, ensuring project schedules are integrated, accurate and aligned with overarching business objectives and program assurance requirements. You will own and maintain the program master schedule, establish consistent scheduling standards and reporting rhythms, and work across multiple project teams to identify, track and proactively manage critical dependencies, milestones, resource constraints and potential schedule conflicts. You will provide consolidated visibility of progress, timelines, risks and schedule health to support executive decision-making and program governance, while ensuring resources and delivery priorities are appropriately aligned across the portfolio. Acting as the central point of accountability for schedule management, you will challenge inconsistencies, identify emerging risks and bottlenecks, escalate governance issues where required and work collaboratively with project and program stakeholders to maintain schedule integrity and keep critical initiatives on track for successful delivery.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring demonstrated expertise managing complex IT programs and developing and maintaining integrated master schedules that align multiple projects, milestones and delivery activities with broader program and business objectives. You will have strong interdependency management capability, enabling you to identify and resolve cross-project dependencies, scheduling conflicts and delivery bottlenecks before they impact critical milestones. Working closely with Project and Program Managers, you will proactively identify schedule, resource and dependency risks and implement practical mitigation and recovery strategies to keep delivery on track. You will demonstrate experience optimising resource allocation across competing projects, balancing capacity and priorities to maximise utilisation and support critical delivery requirements. With a strong focus on accountability, you will accurately track progress, challenge delays and slippage, and drive actions to ensure key milestones and deadlines are achieved. You will also possess excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills, providing senior leaders with clear, accurate and actionable schedule reporting, insights and forecasts to support informed program-level decision-making.

This role requires Australian Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline security clearance (with potential for higher clearance if required) and a national police check.

The Benefits

You will be offered an excellent daily rate on a 12-month contract with the option of a further 2 x 12-month extensions and a hybrid working environment.
