The Opportunity
Reporting to the senior People & Culture leadership team, the Manager – Workplace Relations & Safety will lead the delivery of strategic and operational workplace relations, employee relations, safety, wellbeing, and injury management initiatives across the organisation.
Leading a dedicated team, you will provide trusted advice to leaders while driving proactive, compliant, and commercially sound people outcomes. You will play a key role in strengthening organisational capability, fostering positive workplace culture, and embedding best-practice safety and employee relations frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Workplace Relations & Safety team to deliver high-quality advisory and operational support
- Provide expert advice across employee relations, industrial relations, workplace investigations, performance management, and complex case management
- Oversee enterprise agreement interpretation and application, ensuring legislative and industrial compliance
- Drive safety, wellbeing, and injury management initiatives that support a safe and engaged workforce
- Partner with leaders to build capability and foster positive workplace culture and employee experience
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives across policies, systems, governance, and reporting
- Support organisational change, transformation, and workforce initiatives with a people-centred approach
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, unions, and external partners
About You
You are a collaborative and credible people leader with strong workplace relations and safety expertise gained within complex or multi-site environments. You bring a pragmatic and solutions-focused approach, balanced with the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of an organisation.
You will also bring:
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing workplace relations, employee relations, and/or safety functions
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation, industrial instruments, and contemporary people practices
- Experience managing complex employee relations matters and workplace investigations
- Proven capability leading teams and developing high-performing cultures
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
- A proactive, resilient, and values-led approach to leadership
