As they move into a new phase of workforce transformation, they’re seeking a skilled industrial relations professional to join their People & Culture team and partner with both internal and external stakeholders.
About the Role
Reporting to the Head of People and Culture, this position is responsible for managing enterprise bargaining processes, driving industrial relations strategy, and ensuring compliance with relevant awards, EBAs, and legislation. The role will also play a key part in developing and maintaining relationships with growers, union representatives, and internal leadership teams.
You will provide expert advice on ER/IR matters, represent the organisation in negotiations, and guide leaders through complex workplace issues. This is a highly visible, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys being embedded in the business and working across both operational and strategic priorities.
About You
You’ll be an experienced IR/ER practitioner with a strong understanding of employment law, enterprise agreements, and union negotiations. You’re confident leading change, managing risk, and communicating with diverse stakeholder groups from field-based operational staff to growers and executives.
You may come from agriculture, manufacturing, energy, logistics, or another complex, regulated environment. Experience working in or with regional communities will be highly regarded.
Key skills and experience:
- A minimum of 5 years industrial relations experience within a large complex and diverse work environment, ideally within the agriculture or the blue collar space
- Deep knowledge of industrial instruments and employment legislation
- Proven experience leading EBAs and union negotiations
- Confident relationship builder and negotiator
- Resilient, pragmatic and collaborative in approach
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
